Nothing delays daily shipments faster than a thermal printer outputting cut-off barcodes or faint, unscannable labels. When logistics pickup executives scan parcels at your door, a blurry barcode causes immediate pickup rejection. Here is how to fix common thermal printing errors step-by-step.

Problem 1: Barcode Edges Cut Off on Left or Right

Cause: Paper width mismatch or improper driver margin scaling.

Fix: Open your Windows Printer Properties, select your thermal printer, and navigate to Page Setup. Ensure Paper Size is defined as 100mm x 150mm (or 4.00 x 6.00 inches). In your PDF viewer printing dialog, set Scaling to Fit to Printable Area or 100% with 0mm margins. Alternatively, convert your labels using TheLabelCutter which auto-centres barcodes with safe margin padding.

Problem 2: Faint / Light / Blurry Barcode Printing

Cause: Low print head heat density or dirty thermal printhead sensor.

Fix:
